The MEDIA-TECH Association serves every facet of the optical and removable storage media manufacturing industry, spanning the range from all current formats of optical discs and magnetic media to future formats such as ultra high density optical discs, holographic storage media, and smart cards.

The Association provides the industry with a program of trade shows and conferences where the exchange of ideas can take place, along with the demonstration of the latest in technology - from services to equipment. Through events such as these, everyone from engineer to CEO can continue to be fully informed and gain the competitive advantage within this ever-changing marketplace.

These events include the following:

• One machinery Expo per year, to alternate between the US and Europe.
• One non-machinery Showcase with Conference per year, also to alternate between the US and Europe.
• Co-operation with independent shows in emerging markets such as China and India.

These events aim at:

• Fostering a healthy business environment for the producers of removable media and related equipment manufacturers.
• Providing information about markets, technologies and new standards / formats to the members.
