Renchen, 21. Februar 2010 – In November 2009 the Infodisc Holding extended its global network by establishing the affiliate Infodisc Asia Ltd. In the Hongkong based subsidiary CEO Jacky Chen and his experienced team pursue the goal to strengthen the Blu-ray format in Asia and to serve the local Blu-ray clients intensively.
Jacky Chen is operating in the optical disc industry since 1995. He started his career at Infodisc Taiwan Ltd., where he first worked as Engineer and later occupied the position of Marketing and Production Director. After his transition to Info Source Multi Media Ltd., where he worked for one and a half years as Marketing Director, Jacky Chen now directs Infodisc Asia Ltd.
Besides promoting the Blu-ray disc, Infodisc Asia focuses on the recently presented product Copy-to-Go which generates significant interest in Asia: „Watching movies or episodes of series on the go is very popular in Japan and Taiwan. With our easy and convenient solution Copy-to-Go we have identified this trend and experience a huge demand“, says Infodisc’s Managing Director Michael Gutowski. With the expansion to Asia Infodisc enters into an attractive market: „Asia, especially Hongkong, China and Japan, has a tremendous potential for the next-generation format Blu-ray and for Copy-to-Go. So far, there are few local suppliers, so that Infodisc – with its long-time experience with this format – can build a strong position in this market.
The expansion to Asia is a further step of the Infodisc Holding to an extensive and global customer service. With the foundation of the Authoring Studio Infomedia GmbH Multi Media Services in April 2008 the range of services was complemented to a one-stop solution with Authoring, Replication, Packaging and Distribution. In the near future Infodisc will expand its network further and has already announced the next extension of its services for March this year.
