IDDA Conference 07 May 2008 - Duplicated Media has along life!

Cost - Free to pre-registered attendees. Otherwise $150.00 for the day.
The conference will follow the IDDA format of several industry experts in each session, covering a large amount of information in the shortest time. This will be an opportunity for attendees to keep abreast of emerging trends and challenges in the media duplicating industry.
There will also be opportunities to meet with your industry colleagues discussing their views and sharing their experiences.

IDDA Members and Speakers are invited meet on May 7, 2008 for complimentary dinner, where there will opportunities for in depth discussions with both speakers and other duplicators.

Each supplier will discuss the capital costs, unit costs, speed and special features to help you plan your disc printing future. You will never have a better opportunity to compare technologies. Obviously no one machine will score best on price, capital cost, PMS color, blues, tones etc, so there can be no winner overall, just what each attendee considers as a winner for their own purposes and budget. We will be including solutions for short run printed pockets. On completion of the presentations, we will invite the presenters to join us for a panel discussion, with questions, comments and views from the floor.

Due to the limited amount of major studios content currently available, we will describe the systems and technology to take local broadcast material and supply it on demand on MPEG-2 DVD to viewers. This is an opportunity for duplicators to create a different business model.

Pre-recorded Flash memory is going to be big for cell phones, navigation systems, gaming consoles, audio, marketing materials and other uses. Learn about encryption, partitioning, hidden files and serialisation. Paul Norbury will explain why flash memory prices vary, what to look for to ensure quality and reliable products, and why flash memory quality is so important. Olaf Meier will give an illuminating presentation on the types of solid state memory, and describe some automatic and manual memory card duplicators. The trend figures are very impressive.
