The MEDIA-TECH Association has grown to become the innovative trade association that serves every facet of the optical and removable storage media manufacturing industry worldwide. Our members are the companies that equip, supply, license, develop and manufacture all the current formats of optical discs and magnetic media and are also working on future formats such as holographic storage and the new high-density disc formats: Blu-ray and HD DVD.

The Association works closely with its members to present the media manufacturing industry's principal exhibitions and conferences. The Association is actively building forums to steer the information exchange within the world of recordable storage and the packaged entertainment media industry.

There are three categories of MEDIA-TECH Association Membership:

Full Membership is for those companies involved in the games market, data storage, entertainment media, and media manufacturing industry. This includes plastics technology, injection moulding, quality assurance, printing, packaging, licensing, materials and services supply, and distribution.

Full Membership costs 1,500 EUR per year (approx $1900 USD), offers exhibition/conference discounts and is the only membership category that includes Association voting privileges.

Supporting Members include content holders, duplicators and companies involved in the replication, authoring, compression, and packaging of media.

Supporting Membership costs 500 EUR per year (approx $650 USD) and offers exhibition/conference discounts to companies that would reserve less than 27 sq. m. (3 booth units annually).

Individual Members are those working in institutions and universities as well as consultants and individuals who wish to become members of the MEDIA-TECH Association

Individual Membership costs 150 EUR per year (approx $200 USD)

MEDIA-TECH ActivitiesThe Association provides the industry with a program of trade shows and conferences where the exchange of ideas can take place, along with the demonstration of the latest in technology - from services to equipment.  As well as presenting the industry's primary exhibition and conference events, it is building coalitions with technology, service, and content industry organizations to build a broader commercial understanding and widen networking opportunities.

MEDIA-TECH Newsletter
The MEDIA-TECH Association publishes a biweekly newsletter that includes industry-related news, Association activities, calendar listings, and news focusing on the packaged entertainment manufacturing community.

MEDIA-TECH Market Research
A central source of information for new media technologies. Working with its member companies, the MEDIA-TECH Association is driving new market research initiatives to analyze the commercial progress of the media manufacturing industry.

MEDIA-TECH Association Members are part of the industry's central voice guiding and publicizing media manufacturing in the 21st Century. As the Association grows, its members are accessing and exchanging more information, contacts, networking and promotional activities to help them grow as individual companies and help the industry move forward.

MEDIA-TECH Expo
The MEDIA-TECH Expo is the most comprehensive event of the year for the media manufacturing industry, showing the latest advancements for DVD, Blu-ray Disc, and HD DVD as well as being a perfect place to meet with business friends and make new contacts within the industry. It has proved to be the ideal locale to launch the latest production machines, equipment, and materials for the media manufacturing industry.

MEDIA-TECH Showcase
The MEDIA-TECH Showcase, held in parallel with the Conference, is focused towards emerging markets with the aim of providing an affordable conduit to meet and inform new customers in the field of media manufacturing. 

MEDIA-TECH Conference
The MEDIA-TECH Conference is the key annual conference for the packaged media manufacturing industry. The MEDIA-TECH Conference provides the latest updates on high definition home entertainment, prospects for 'next generation' optical discs and the market introduction of the future media generations.

MEDIA-TECH Workshops
Special workshops at MEDIA-TECH events focus on topics such as copy protection and disc compatibility and present delegates with in-depth technology and process information.
