Professor Masud Mansuripur is the Chair of Optical Data Storage at the Optical Sciences Center of the University of Arizona in Tucson. A Fellow of the Optical Society of America, he has published over 200 papers in peer-reviewed journals and presented numerous invited talks at international conferences, universities, and major industrial laboratories. His research interests include magnetic, optical, and molecular data storage, near-field optics, and problems associated with radiation pressure. He was a speaker at the MEDIA-TECH Conference 2004 in Los Angeles.
