Robert Roczynski

Robert Roczynski is the President of Record Products of America (RPA) in Hamden Connecticut USA. He holds a degree from the University of New Haven and has presided at RPA since the company was incorporated in Connecticut in 1977.
Bob originally developed parts & machinery for the aerospace industry and for the vinyl record industry. At a time when the CD format was just beginning, Bob positioned his company by developing machines for punching, polishing, and electroforming optical disc stampers.
These stamper finishing systems have been continuously improved over the years as the requirements for optical discs have become more demanding. In today’s recordable, HD, and Blu-ray formats the structures have become smaller and rotational speeds are faster. This has translated into tighter tolerances on the stamper’s Total Thickness Variation (TTV), eccentricity (ECC) as precision back finish. RPA has developed the equipment to meet these demanding requirements.
