Stefan A. Baustert


Stefan A. Baustert, born 1956 in Völklingen / Saar, started his professional career in 1977 with a bank apprenticeship in Saarbrücken and subsequently worked at the Banque Française de l´Agriculture et du Credit Mutuel in Paris for one year. Afterwards he began his course of studies of business administration at the University of Saarland and completed his Master of Science in Management degree (Diplom-Kaufmann). This was followed by a nine-month Fulbright scholarship at the Pennsylvania State University in the US where Stefan A. Baustert was awarded a Master of Science in Business Administration.

In 1986, Mr. Baustert joined the Thyssen Group where he worked in the Finance department of the Thyssen AG (now ThyssenKrupp AG) for eight years. In 1994 he was appointed to the Executive Board of the Thyssen Telecom AG being responsible for the Finance department. Among the highlights of his work during the Thyssen Telecom tenure were M&A transactions and a private equity placement of around € 500 million Mr. Baustert was in charge of. From 1997 to 2002 Stefan A. Baustert was Managing Director responsible for the divisions Finance, Controlling, Human Resources and Procurement at E-Plus Mobilfunk.

In January 2003, Mr. Baustert was appointed to the Executive Board of SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES AG to head Finance, Investor Relations, IT, Controlling, Human Resources and Procurement. On November 1, 2006 Mr. Baustert was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES AG. In addition, his responsibilities will include the divisions Sales & Marketing, Strategy and Public Relations. Furthermore, he has also been the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the subsidiary HamaTech AG since January 2006.

Eleven years of work experience in the Thyssen Group and additional five years at the E-Plus Mobilfunk GmbH & Co. KG laid the stable foundation for his current position as Chief Executive Officer. At SINGULUS amongst others he managed the successful acquisition of ODME Mastering, now renamed SINGULUS MASTERING, at the end of 2003. Mr. Baustert was also in charge of the acquisition of the STEAG HamaTech AG in fall of 2005. By resolution of the competent Local Court Pforzheim as of January 31, 2006, Mr. Baustert was appointed to the Supervisory Board of the STEAG HamaTech AG pursuant to Art. 104 Para. 1 Stock Corporation Act (AktG) and elected Chairman in its first meeting.
